The village of Chassagne-Montrachet is the last and most southerly of the three great white winemaking appellations in the Côte de Beaune. The wines are fat and opulent, dominated by tropical fruit aromas and flavours. Twelve months of ageing in oak barrels adds to the wine’s rich texture. A village appellation which is both expressive of its terroir and very approachable. Attractive aromas of honeysuckle, toasted almonds and white-fleshed fruit. A wine of restrained power and great finesse.
