Description

The Mosby Dolcetto has a nose with spicy hints of mace and forest floor. The backbone of tannin is interlaced with clean raspberry fruit, followed by a firm, spicy finish.

While this Dolcetto is delicious now, it has the stamina for up to five years of cellar time.

Although the name means little sweet one, this is not a sweet wine. Dolcetto is the everyday wine of choice on family tables throughout the Piedmont region of Italy.

Pair with tomato-based sauces. Dolcetto, the early-release red wine of Italy, often is made without undergoing the acid-reducing malolactic fermentation, leaving it very tart. This wine did not go through ML. A rare opportunity to taste a fruit-driven California version of an Italian classic at a fair price.
