Description

The Mosby Sangiovese is a classic example of Sangiovese, deeply colored and highly extracted. The brooding aromas of leather, smoke and bacon are softened by ripe loganberry and blueberry fruit in the mouth. The wine finishes with subtle oak, soft tannins and integrated acidity. The grapes were picked from the Vigna della Casa Vecchia (Vineyard of the Old House), which surrounds the historic adobe near the winery. The wine was aged in older French oak barrels, which allows the varietal character of the Sangiovese grape to fully express itself.
